2. One of the minor chracters in the story is Rudy Stiner. He is important to Lisel because he was one of her first friends when she was tooken in by Hans and Rosa Hubberman and influences most of the wrong things that she has done. He has many things in common with Lisel, but not her love for books; he's more active and street smart while Lisel is immoble and book smart.
4. I have experience some of the same things that Lisel has experinced like when the book was thrown into the river. One time my older brother threw one of my books in Springfield lake and my other brother dove in after it. Another experince that Lisel had that I had was always have nightmares about her brother, but mine were about my grandpa Phillipe. I'd always wake up screaming because I had seen him die because my "biological" grandma on my dad's side had them take him off his breathing machine.

Carpe Diem 12/4 Lit Circle

1. If I could chosse a character from the story, I would chosseVassar for many differnt reasons. She is a girl who gets good grades like me. She also has her parents putting a lot of pressure on her to get good grades, my parents put pressure on me to get good grades because my two older brothers are acidemic failures. Her Grandma Gerd is crazy like my mom and grandma. She loves to write stories like I do. Thoses are the many reasons that I would like Vassar as a sister.

November 3/ Diamonds in the Shadows

1.On page 133, Jared is mad for two reasons; his mother did not see that the Ambos did not seem to be a real family and that no one would even notice that Alake was even alive. Jared was the only one to notic eAlake because she was setting alone on the couch in the living room while everyone was outside in the snow.
4.I think Alake changed the most from the begining of the book to the end because at the beginning she didn't talk or interact with anyone and at the end she starts to communicate and show human emotions.

10/16 Assinment on Dimonds in the Shadow

I infer that Alake didn't really want to be there with the Finch family. I think that she could be really scared about being in America. She must also be scared about being found by the 5th refugee. I also think that she dosen't talk because she didn't feel like interacting with their way of life. She might also not know how to speak English.

First Light By Rebecca Stead

In First Light so far, Thea and Mattais were looking for a secret passage way to the surface world. They took a water blower from the waterwheel. They started to dig in the desigenated area and thought that they wouldn't find what they were looking for. Meanwhile, Peter was lying in bed when he heard his mother talking in her sleep. When she stoped, Peter's father woke up to calm her down. Then they all went back to sleep.
